🌡️ Orange Beach Weekly Weather Blog

Starting off hot and muggy as the Heat Index will be well into the 100s. However, overall the rain chances have lowered since the last week or so. Most of us will dry out a bit before a slight increase of showers and thunderstorms by midweek.

🌀 Tropical Outlook

  • Hurricane Erin is currently located about 415 miles East of the Northern Leeward Islands. Erin is moving west-northwest at 17mph and sustained winds at 75mph. Erin is forecast to eventually make a more of a northwest then north turn by early next week. There are no threats of this system for our area of the Gulf.

  • Invest 98L is currently located near the mouth of the Rio Grande Canal along the MX/TX border. Other than heavy rainfall for this area, there are no threats of any tropical development from this system. There will be no threats to our area of the Gulf from this system.

👉 Even though no threats for us this week, it’s always a good time to check your hurricane kit. A NOAA Weather Radio and Solar Power Bank are two things I always recommend having ready.
